Candidate Wilson conducted a leader's recon and then immediately began his operations order that lacked the administration and logistics and command and signal paragraph. He spoke quickly and stumbled over his words despite his obvious understanding of the order. His initial scheme of maneuver gave a strong starting point and included tasking statements by name for his subordinates. During execution, his excitement continued and he provided a strong sense of reckless urgency to the detriment of his subordinates and the mission. He was able to delegate tasks and use two avenues of approach to maneuver his fire team into position to assist each other. This allowed him to achieve his mission but he broke down his security early and left his team
