Candidate Scaife demonstrated confidence when briefing the fire team. SNC’s initial plan was lacking detail and understanding the roles for each member of the fire team. His placement within the fire team was adequate to maintain control. SNC communicated well to the fire team throughout the execution phases but lacked conveying a sense of urgency to manage the time provided to accomplish the mission. His initial plan was derailed when a member of his fire team was penalized for touching a red area on the course. Subsequently, Candidate Scaife hesitated to swiftly correct his plan; he froze for a few seconds. SNC reevaluated his original plan and began his secondary plan.
