Candidate Paden's Fire Team Case Study

Candidate Paden, despite struggling with the conduct of his order, was able to fairly effectively lead his fire team during the execution. In the order, SNC provided minimal detail throughout making it difficult for this fire team to efficiently accomplish the mission. Once Candidate Paden began executing the obstacles he was able to make timely and appropriate decisions, although he did not have a plan initially. When he received a penalty while trying to move through the obstacle, his fire team was able to continue working independently. Immediately on return from the penalty, SNC provided new direction on how to accomplish the mission which re-motivated his fellow fire team members.
