Candice Lee Moroney: A Brief Biography

Candice Lee Moroney was born on the 19th of February 1981. She was youngest child of Sheeree and Trevor Moroney. She has two sisters, Renee and Stacey. She was raised in Leigh Creek in the Flinders Ranges up until age 3, when she moved to Kadina. Upon arriving in Kadina, her parents brought a partnership in Ward’s Deli in the Graves Street. Candy’s family lived behind the shop. When she was five, she enrolled at Kadina Primary School. On her first day, she met Sally Fry, who to this day is still one of her closest friends. Her favourite childhood memory is going to back to her hometown, and with the Ferguson family. While there, they camped, rode motorbikes, horse riding, swam in the tanks, using tires as their floatys and learnt to drive at “a some ridiculous …show more content…
She still rates finishing 4th overall in the “Into the Minion” with Magic Mike, the biggest harness race in Australia as one of her proudest moments. Her love of animals doesn’t stop at horses though; she worked at the Kadina vet clinic when she was 16. Luckily for her, her mother, Sheeree was one of the leaders at the clinic. She completed Business/Agriculture Traineeship at Ag Serv, and then did Vet Nursing course soon after. Soon after turning eighteen, she moved to Adelaide. She worked at Morphettville Vet Clinic, and consulted as a horse specialist. When she was 22, she moved back to Kadina, and moved in with her childhood friend, Sally. First they lived on George Street, but soon moved to Crosby Street. She worked as the state representative for Horse Power, selling horse feed. She then met the love of her on a date she can still recall, and the location too. It was August 25th, 2002 and Candice literally walked right into Todd. They chatted, and have been together ever since. In 2007, Candy and Todd announced that they were expecting their first child.
