Cancer Strikes In the year of 2000 December 31 Eric’s grandsons came over. Tyler and Shawn came to help their paw-paw because he was not doing well. Johnny and Wanda Taylor owned a house on their land and Eric just happened to be looking for a house because he just got a divorce maybe 1 year ago. His only daughter had a very bad obstacle to face she had to come off of drugs she has been doing drugs for a couple months now she was on meth and heroine very to she's abandoned her kids and he had to take them in even though he was sick. It all started when he was young he started smoking when he was maybe 18 or 19 years old then he started going to a new church so he stopped. he got x-rays and a bunch of other test done and it took two hours for the results to come back and they told him he had lung cancer and in order for him to possibly survive he needed a double lung transplant. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday passed by and he still had not told anyone about his lung cancer or his surgery until Sunday morning at church him and his family got up and went to church and preacher asked if anyone had any prayer requests and Eric silently stood up and said “ I got rushed to the hospital Monday morning and they told me I had lung cancer (starts crying)and they said in order for me to possibly live I need a double lung transplant I have to go to North Carolina in a month to go get some test done before my surgery and then I could possibly be in the hospital for 6-12 months depending on how well I do I have pictures of my lungs and they are so undersized you wouldn't even think they were my lungs they were like a brownish, blackish color. It was disgusting”. 1 month, 6 more months, 5 more months pass by the doctors come in the room to give him his medicine and him and his wife are sitting there in the enormous elegant and fresh crisp linen fragrance sitting there talking and then all of a sudden he pulls out a beautiful engagement ring and says to
