When I was 12 years old I had my first MRI in the Imaging Department. That same MRI found cancer. Since then, I have had hundreds of procedures, rounds of chemotherapy, and doctor appointments at Primary Children's Hospital.. But PCH is not the only hospital I can say those things about. There are two other children's hospitals that I have spent a reasonable amount of time at. University of California San Francisco-Benioff (UCSF) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City are the other two hospitals where I have received treatment. I had to go searching alternative treatments because Primary Children’s did not offer what I needed to stay alive. I would like to talk about other cancer treatments that are out there.

Not saying that we should rely solely on holistic treatments, but it should definitely not be discounted for its truth. My personal opinion is that there should be balance in all things. I think that we should not just rely on Conventional Medicine, or just Holistic. I believe that Doctors need to be better educated on holistic medicine. In a study by The Truth About Cancer, they surveyed cancer treating physicians, and the results were astounding. Almost half of the doctors weren’t against holistic medicine, they just didn’t know how to treat it. 30% of doctors were very pro-holistic. It is just that they don’t know how to treat it. (Bollinger
