My career goal is to be an independent researcher in the field of cancer biology. I would like to perform translational research at the interface of both basic biology of the disease and the clinical application of the acquired knowledge. Since I came to Purdue University, I have always tried to make an impact in my area of my research as well as in my surrounding community. I have mentored numerous undergraduate students in my research group. Not only do I regularly assist them in performing their scientific experiments, but also I help them gain a thorough understanding of their work and its importance. I have made a great effort in instilling a passion and joy for the research that they do. Currently, I am serving as a First Year Mentor
