Canadore's Supply Chain Model

At Canadore College, there are three campuses in North Bay and one in Parry Sound. Supply chain model at each of the campus of Canadore College comprises of following:

D2L in Canadore’s information system

With high technology, they provide access to information technology and other options for learning including being able to take programs off-campus. Information system comprises of components which are involved in collection, storage and processing of different data to all the members of campus and thus supply information, knowledge and digital products to end users. In this way they work and communicate efficiently through supply chain and make data readily available to students and staff members.

The introduction of D2L has given the opportunity to iLearning which included recording of classroom activities, lessons, online quizzes, assignments and many more. The idea of D2L has found to be much appreciated by the students and they can re-do the assignments online for getting better marks. Moreover, students can access their lessons or recorded lectures anywhere and anytime. Each and every program is provided with enough resources and possibilities for communication and links that further transmit information through the Canadore portal for D2L. Also, students have been given similar lectures and materials just like the in-class lecture which is delivered over the web and recorded for later use. The student can choose whether to attend class face-to-face or online from week to week. For each class, there is an audio lecture supplemented by PowerPoint slides. In addition to this, there may also be the usage of YouTube links, interactive whiteboard, case studies, and text chat for distant learners. Students can register their mobile phones to get text or e-mail delivery of assignment notifications, news, discussions, grades, and other information through iLearn.
