Canada’s high academic standards and strict control about quality mean that I’ll be earning a high-quality education that will open doors for my future and benefit my career over the long term. The quality of education and living standards in Canada are amongst the highest in the world, but the cost of living and tuition fees for international students are generally lower than in other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Since research is one of the key components of a Canadian post-secondary education, I’ll have ample opportunity to become a part of this vibrant aspect of education. Beside it United Nations ranks Canada as one of the best places in the world

Every semester I ask myself the same three questions and the longer I have been pursuing post secondary the more I think about the costs of post-secondary in comparison to the benefits of my degree. I work part time at Bed Bath and Beyond to help my parents pay rent and keep food on the table so every time I look at class registration I always artistically stack my classes like Greek columns to grab as many hours as I can at work. My father always says that you can’t do anything without money and it’s the truth you can’t, and it shames me because the academic route I decided to take isn’t known for the Steve Jobs of the world but rather the eco-terrorists and political upstarts. Public policy has always been my passion because of the social…

From a first-hand experience with the baby boomer generation, millennia’s are growing up with the idea that if one goes to school, tries hard, and get good grades; one will graduate, go on to post-secondary and, ultimately be successful (“Rethinking Education”). If one does not desire to put the time and effort into school, then one will likely have the constant, unrelenting image of a failure in the back of his/her mind. There are various examples of children failing subjects every year, but the education system has been reluctant to change, to…
