Canada's Song 'I Left The Town'

In order to further explain my experience in Canada as an immigrant, I composed a song called “I left the town”. The song is a small screen shot of my entire experience which depicts my ups and downs when I left my home country. Most of the immigrants in Canada relate to this song as we all face emotional, financial and cultural challenges after moving to Canada.
The first paragraph of the song describes the beginning of my journey when I left India “with a ray of hope and dream”. The paragraph describes the sadness and pain of leaving my friends and family behind while keeping my dreams and hopes alive to achieve higher educational goals in life. In such a rainy and dark environment I knew nobody in the country and felt very alone. Despite the dark, loneliness and harsh winters I held on to my dreams without giving up and continue to remain motivated while maintaining my sight on my goals.
The third paragraph, reminds me of the day at Kwantlen. On the first day, it was raining and it was hard to socialize with the people in the class. I was hesitant and nervous to speak to people with different cultures and perspectives. Under these circumstances, I began to remember my friends and family whom I left behind in India. Moreover, I missed the precious moments I spent with them, which made me realize that those people filled my life with happiness.
The fourth paragraph represents my coping strategy with loneliness and stress. I used to play drums in order to release the stress and regain my peace to focus on my education. Moreover, playing drums made me positive and determined about life regardless of any
