I have always figured homeless or those less fortunate than me to be odd and sadly I always assumed it was their fault, thinking that they should have worked harder in school and in life and they would be better off. Now I realize that some people are just dealt a bad hand one year and have to dig themselves out of a hole. After hearing Ryan and Alyscia’s struggles I am going to take their advice to me dear to my heart. Alyscia said “No matter what your circumstances do not hide in fear of others, your true friends and family will support you in hard times and you will be better for it. Never judge someone on the brands they wear, the food they eat, the brain they have or the money they have each person is unique because of their struggles and every struggle will turn positive.” I took Alyscia’s words to heart learning not to hide your struggles they will turn out positive and do not judge anyone for what they have or who they are. I seriously enjoyed this unit and all the new perspectives it has shown
