Personally, I don’t see it as a problem. I am very strong and able and I can do all the task as well as any other man. I used to think that women shouldn’t be doing these work that men does, but now I’m thinking twice. From my workplace, I am able to see women doing jobs just as well as the men every day.
Can you describe what you were required to wear at your workplace?
In the morning before I get to my workplace, I have to change into my “working clothes”. They were these ugly one-piece overall suits that we had to wear that stretched from neck to toe. We also had to wear these wooden clogs and matches, jewelry and hairpins were not allowed.
How many women are employed at your workplace?
My factory actually have quite a lot of women working because most of our husband and men have left for the war. I’m not sure how many women are at my workplace exactly but I can say that around 200 workers are women. There is definitely more women than men at my workplace.
Do you think you are treated the same as men at your
