The traditional classification of the five senses—sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch—created by Aristotle incorporates very distinctive human sense abilities. For instance, the nervous system places an explicit sensory system and/or organ for each sense, which broadly means sight assimilates to the eyes, hearing integrates with ears, taste goes with the tongue, and so forth. While evolution continues to progress, the idea of senses being considerably different from one another becomes more acceptable. However, sensory receptors are responsible for receiving specific kinds of stimuli, which all sensation derives from.
