Desperate for likes, friends, posts, attention, etc. Posting personal problems on social media seeking for attention can make people selfish. How many problems or feelings have to be posted on social media for people to think that others care about them, when in reality all they do is comment or like the post? Just like Williams said, “As much as many of us may have a big friend list, most of us in reality are friendless, and as technology claims to connect us, connection has gotten no better.” (Williams 2014) Posting for likes has gotten this generation to care more about the amount of likes obtained than cherishing the moments spent in life. How many times have we seen someone recording a fight instead of trying to stop the fight? How many times have we seen proposals for marriage or dating posted? Technology seems to be controlling people in many aspects. Taking the idea in consideration that if one counts how many people are seen with a phone or any other type of technology in a day, one would be surprised.
