The question is, “can there be such thing as a truly original idea”; to answer this question I will say no, because what we do and contemplate is to a great extent the result of influences we encounter from our experiences. Number one, the brain is extremely amazing and it’s very capable of producing new ideas and random thought. Most people have had the opportunity to just come up with random ideas out of the blue. However, there's no such thing as an original idea. Every idea that’s been introduce to the universe has been formerly thought of a thousand times before. Therefore, is no such thing as being the first to give a real physical formulation to an idea. Even if it was true that there was a physical fact; which I know it will be extremely difficult to prove, because most likely someone had already thought of the idea first. …show more content…
Our thought and ideas are a product of our accrued knowledge and our exceptional path and choices in life. Therefore, what we might think we are working toward in an original way might not be purely original because as part of our growth we have accumulated latent knowledge that is unavoidable. Truthfully speaking originality that is one hundred percent new is very hard to accomplish, because in my opinion all thoughts we have ever had, have either been unknowingly repeated, or permuted from others’ thoughts, ideas etc. Therefore, permuted ideas are as close as you will get to original or new, nevertheless it is not the thought, rather the precise permutation of existing thoughts itself, that comprises the possibility of being
