"Life can be like a roller coaster...and just when you think you've had enough, and you're ready to get off the ride and take the calm, easy merry-go round...you change your mind, throw your hands in the air and ride the roller coaster all over again", says Stacey Charter. Most of us has been on a roller coaster one way or another. We feel the moment when we know we are up in the air and the next moment we fall down to the very bottom, just to go right-back up again. Now the ups and downs can be both fun and downright frightening. It’s up to us to choose what to make of it. The roller coaster will not change for us, it will keep on going up and down until we choose to get off the ride.

They pondered and sighed and decided to ask us kids what we all would like to do. So my sister, my brother and I put our heads together and we agreed on going to Six-Flags St. Louis. We told our parents on what we decided. And they decided that would be a great idea also. So we loaded our car up and headed up to Six-Flags. When we got there our parents paid for the parking and tickets. We had a lot of fun that day. But my most favorite ride was the screaming eagle. It had many dips and turns and around one corner I almost got sick but I loved that ride. I think I went on that ride 3 or 4 times that day. Later after we had our fun we were heading home, we had stopped at a
I have learned in the 30 something years I have been alive that we can be sitting on top of the world enjoying life to the fullest and the next we can be hit with a major problem that we don’t know how to deal with. I felt unbalanced on a tightrope between one issue towards another. I didn’t know which direction to do go. Dealing with life's ups and downs is like being on one big ride on the roller coaster… it can make you dizzy. I saw life as being filled with many twists and turns. I braved up and took some risks and faced my fears.

A few years ago, on a class trip, my friends had asked me to ride at least one roller coaster. It was not a large roller coaster, but it made me queasy just looking at it. I was confident that I would be able to go on and enjoy the experience. My confidence quickly evaporated when we began climbing up the roller coaster’s first hill. The ride dropped, and I was screaming so loudly that I could only hear myself.…

I remember the gut wrenching feeling in my stomach as my best friend and I approached the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Hershey Park, called SkyRush. I am not sure why I agreed to go on this roller coaster, considering most of the time at amusement parks I entertain myself with food, and miniature rides that stay level to the ground. Unlike me, my friend liked the rush and heart dropping feeling of being at the apex of a roller coaster and then dropping down at maximum speed. Personally, I preferred the ground, where I remained in full control of my own safety. Yet that afternoon I found myself standing in line for SkyRush.…

Well I had gone to Six Flags and when I had got there I was so anxious to get on every ride in Six Flags but then I had heard a person on the Goliath scream ”stop the ride” it was so funny and scary at the same time. Then I saw that almost every ride had so many twists and turns and even circles that go round and round. Last year I had gone on a roller coaster which was the Mind Bender and it wasn’t so scary. The Mind Bender had so many circles that go round and round.…

Siekman, my best friends Charlee and Montserrat, and a few parents that my mom knew. We started off with Cork Screw, and the Mine ride, which were both super fun and a good start, and each ride we did, slowly got bigger and bigger, and better and better, except for Blue Streak, which is the oldest coaster in the park, and I thought I was going to fall out. But other than that we had a great time, I had chicken strips, tacos, and fries for lunch and Mom had a giant wrap and fries. Then we split a steaming hot “Valraven” funnel cake, which had piles of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, hot fudge sauce, chocolate and caramel sauce that melted in your mouth, and TONS of powdered sugar, the whole thing was big enough for four people, and we finished it…

The roar of the engine sends my heart racing as I pull out on to the track, one lap around and we are off, trucks at my side as we glide around the turns. The slick dirt pulling my back end around I move my hands, my automatic controls, the only thing keeping me from spinning out. It’s funny really because clichés aren’t my thing, however, at times idioms are just the thing to describe a situation or time period in one’s life, for instance the saying that “life is a roller coaster” couldn’t be more fitting for my life. The ups and downs, the highs and the lows, the twists and turns, life is just one big adrenaline rush and at times I feel I’m a junking, addicted to life.…

Both involve the same emotions of excitement and fear and, the physical characteristics of sweaty palms, big smiles, and, twinkle of happiness in the eyes.…

After the attendants strapped everyone in, they did their whole spiel on how we were going to have a great time, but the words muddled in my mind as I was more focused on breathing. The car moved onward and screeched at us as if in warning. Then suddenly the car stopped, I’m pretty sure just to spite us.…
