A person would have to think about the conquest of smoking (self-regarding action). Smoking will lead to health problems and increase of medical bills. Therefore, no one would smoke. Whereas, stealing they must put themselves in a situation of being a victim of a robbery. Thus, no rational person would want to steal if they too would face the same crime but only to become a victim. Hence, if everyone in society took the time to analyze their action, society would be a thoughtful place to be in. The only problem with this rule is people who are intolerable religious can use this rule to justify wrong doings to non-believers and those who don’t follow the same belief
