If you were to pick up a dictionary right now and look up the definition of freedom you would see, “Freedom: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” Do we really have freedom?
For example, the First Amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
We, as American people are slowly losing our right to free speech. For the past couple years we have been fighting to keep the Pledge of Allegiance in our schools because it merely mentions God. What happened to our freedom of religion?
