For the most part she went to school at Petaluma High School, but was later home schooled because she got bullied by girls for looking tomboyish. She later got revenge on one of the girls when they asked for an autograph and she told her to “ Go f**k yourself ”. Winona fell in love with acting because of her mother who would always make her watch movies and read. After two years of being homeschooled, she enrolled at the American Conservatory theater in San Francisco. She learned how to act and perform. Winona’s first debut was the 1986 film Lucas. She was in may other films but Beetlejuice (1988) and Heathers (1988) was when she peeked her fame, but after the making of Beetlejuice, she was bullied.
