According to Meltzer’s article, the NSPCC released a detail in 2009 that the number of calls from children and teenagers about loneliness had risen five times higher after five years (Meltzer 1, 2). Moreover, the Mental Health Foundation found that 53% of 18-34-year-olds had felt depressed because of loneliness (Meltzer 2). In fact, another researchers found that young people worried about feeling alone, being single, about the quality of their relationships with their friends and family more than any other group (Meltzer 2). The reasons for those finding are spending too much time communicating online and not enough in person (Meltzer 2). In addition, the young generation has a very different habit from the old generation. They were growing up while technology is developing; it effects them a lots. They are depended on the technology too much. They use machines for a lots things to do for their daily activities such as coffee maker, electric vacuum, lawn mower, washing machine, etc. Especially, even they depend on smartphone and computer for communicating.
