College is a place that wants to help their students make better choices for themselves. Cigarettes can affect people internally and externally with the toxic chemicals that it contains. Young adults gain an interested in smoking cigarettes because of the influence they receive from other people. Smoking on college campuses should be unacceptable because students could look for other opportunities to handle their problems. If colleges banned the use of smoking cigarettes on campus, it can lower the number of secondhand smokers and reduce the rate of health deterioration in a person that smokes cigarettes. The effect of smoking on college campuses affects people that do not smoke since they have to inhale the same smoke-infested air circulating around.
