Research Methods Whittier College Campus Safety Discrimination As Whittier College students, we are all actively roaming the campus whether we are going to class or engaging in social activities. It may or may not be apparent to certain individuals, but we are under the constant supervision of Campus Safety Officers. This answer illuminates my study because it is known that females are subject of assault and other overpowering situations on college campuses. It shows that females notice the constant surveillance of campus police and men overlook it. This is significant because females receive different security treatments men do not get just because of their gender. Overall, this statistical finding is important because it again reveals different attitudes towards campus police from different student categories, this time being male to female
