OK, for starters, she did not knock me out. The Gryffin must have when I was talking. OK ..I'm a half-blood... I don't get beat up by girls with sticks. (Natalie is telling me to shut up and tell the story) OK ..it started earlier that day. That day I went to this place called Camp Jupiter to visit my sister, Hazel. I would tell you where it is, but we can't risk anyone trying to find it. I'm sorry but if you tried, the Romans might think your a monster and try to kill you. On that happy thought, I'll explain what happened when i got there.

Camp Jupiter is a pretty cool place. It has a forum, principia, and even a place called a hippodrome. Your should have heard what Natalie thought i was when i told her. She thought it was... OK...Ill shut up. So, anyway, i walked through the entrance and started to looks for Hazel. Then i noticed that something was...wrong. People were running around, looking everywhere for something...then i realized it wasn't something, it was someone. People were yelling Jason's name.

Jason Grace was one of the praetors for Camp Jupiter. He, along with Reyna the other praetor, made important decisions inside the camp. Without them, things would go crazy. But he was only elected praetor recently, after the big battle against the titans. (Natalie is still mad she missed that one too) Anyway, when i heard them calling Jason's name my blood chilled. Either they were having a really big game of hide-and-go-seek (what? Its possible.) or Jason was missing. Just then, a girl with golden eyes and curly brown hair ran up to me. It was my sister Hazel

I think the most obvious way Jason copes with his own and his family’s former prominence is to assert his own power over Caddy, Dilsey, and Luster. He is able to control Caddy not only because he is stronger then her, but he is exploiting Caddy’s desire to see her daughter for personal financial gain. He is able to control Dilsey and Luster racially and financially because he is a white man and provides for them. He exerted his power over Dilsey by threatening her and racially oppressing her. I think that Jason threw his power around to cope with his loss because it allowed him to feel like even though he may not be seen as societally important or prominent, he was still more powerful then them.…

Bugs love me. It is an unrequited love. In the forests of North Carolina where I have spent summers since I was seven years old, it was a constant battle not to be consumed by the never ending mass of insects who rated me five-star cuisine. Maybe it was my fair skin, the light hue that drew them like a lantern in the night. Or maybe it was my fresh mint shampoo that made them think I was a part of the nature they so adored.…
