I firmly believe success and passion coincide, and with that, I feel I am a qualified candidate for this position. Although I am young, there is not an age limit placed on determination. I am certain my diligence and a worker, passion as both a student and a human, and thrive as one who feeds off success will be of benefit to both the children and the program itself.

I am qualified for this position, because I know exactly how to work with children of all ages. Growing up, I was always highly capable of engaging conversations with older children, even teens, as well as toddlers and preschoolers. I know what it takes to

I want to be in the Leader's In Training program because Camp Mendocino is teaching youth how to live a healthy life at a young age. This camp helps the upcoming youth live in reality instead of the virtual world and ties into my overall life goal of helping Americans understand what it means to live a healthy life physically and mentally. This is important to me because I have dealt with depression and how unhappy I was with myself as a person. From the negative experience I’ve had with depression I don't want any child or teen feel like they are unworthy of the life they are living. By working with Camp Mendocino I will be helping the youth understand how to have a healthy state of mind by encouraging campers to deal with negative feelings…

The first study that implemented this program took place at the Annsville Youth Center, in New York (Goldstein, 4). The study was conducted on 60 youths, in which a small group (24) received the intervention in ART, the second group (24) were given a “brief discussion” this allowed for Goldstein and his colleagues, to see if the children had the skills in them, but were just not using them, and the last group (12) received no intervention or instructions (Goldstein, 4).
