On October 15, 2012, 85 years old, Freddy Simon, made a surprise visit the one his “Freddy’s Frozen Custard” restaurants to eat lunch with the crowd. This restaurant is just one of the many “Freddy’s” located in the USA. Freddy’s restaurants are current located in 22 states.
Frederick Simon was born in 1925, in California. He was one of 9 children, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Freddy grew up on a farm where his family butchered their own beef for steak burgers. They also made their own frozen custard using a hand turned ice cream freezer. Freddy attended the Wichita University with a degree in accounting.
