Did winning the Heisman and a National Championship affect Cam Newton’s draft pick? Most people know that Cam Newton was the Heisman winner in 2010 and that same year a National Championship with the Auburn Tigers.When he was in the Heisman running he beat out Andrew Luck of Stanford and Oregon Lamichael James for the Heisman ( partly because he the best quarterback ever). Newton lead the Auburn Tigers to an undefeated season and a National Championship for the first time since 1957. Even with the incident at with his dad trying to make colleges to pay him for Cam to go to their colleges.According to (http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2011/news/story?id=6445107 ) he almost went to Missouri for $180,000 but he didn’t go and instead went to Auburn
