Cam Jansen Book Report

Decent Essays
Cam Jansen by, David A. Adler was the first book I was able to read on my own. It is about a girl who has a photographic memory, and can remember anything anywhere, pretty cool right! My dad would love reading this book to me, and after a while I would read it to him. I loved this book because I loved to solve the mysteries along with Cam Jansen. She also literally did everything, just like I wanted to.

The third Athenaeum was giving by writer Joshua Shenk. The majority of the Athenaeum consisted of Mr. Shenk reading a passage of the book he was writing. The book, as Mr. Shenk discussed, focuses on the life of Bill Wilson, the creator of Alcoholics Anonymous. Mr, Shenk said that he found Bill Wilson’s life interesting because Bill Wilson was placed on a pedestal by the people he helped through Alcoholics Anonymous, but he struggled with his own problems such as addiction to LDS and depression. Personally, I did not find Mr. Shenk’s book interesting.…

Unlike the literature I am required to read during the school year, the books that I read for pleasure are more focused on issues that can relate to one's actual life. The books I read for pleasure are more of a release. For example, I read "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel to get a better view on the idea of intangible belief and dry factuality. I enjoyed "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury because it provided a new perspective on the idea of censorship. I also read "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Of Mice and Men" in order to receive valuable insight on the idea of loss of innocence.…

By far my favorite book that she would read to me was “Where The Wild Things Are”. I think the book, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double down”, written by Jeff Kinney, was an awesome book. The book is about a young kid, like me, who is just learning his common sense and his moral ethics. The book was very entertaining to read as it gives the perspective of a young boy, Greg Heffley, of his not-so-ordinary life. People may think he’s ordinary, but when you get into his everyday life, it gets weird. He has an older brother, which I can relate to, and he’s always trying to get out of work, no matter what.…
