a. My recommended caloric values according to the USDA Supertracker website are as follows:
i. Total Calories: My recommended calorie intake has been set to 2000 total calories per day. ii. Empty Calories: The recommended amount of empty calories that I should be consuming on a daily basis is 258 or less. iii. Overall, my actual caloric intake was much lower than my recommended daily values. I consumed an average of 1324 total calories each day, when I should have consumed about 2000 calories. I may have been below my recommended intake due to my consistently small breakfasts. Although I do eat breakfast on a daily basis, it often consists only of a bowl of oatmeal. On an average week, I believe that my dairy intake would have been higher than is shown on this report. In terms of grain consumption, I do not incorporate much bread, rice, or grain in general into my diet. Many of my meals consist of salads, soups, or simply protein foods and vegetables, therefore my grain intake is quite low. I plan to be more intentional about adding this food group to my diet now that I see how low my consumption of grains truly
