In the book called Calling on Dragons, the author, Patricia C. Wrede, is trying to tell her readers that sometimes, in life, there is nothing you can do except wait. I interpreted this because of a few quotes I found in this novel. One example of a quote would be from chapter twenty one, which stated, “For the next two months, while Telemain and Morwen disposed of Vamist the and sent Killer the rabbit back to his clover patch, while the dragons combed through the Enchanted Forest for stray wizards, while the fire-witches finished helping out and went home (or in some cases, built new ones in the Enchanted Forest), Cimorene tried everything anyone could think of to get herself through the wizards’ shield.
