Cali has amazing beaches, beautiful palm trees, and the shops are to die for. Plus they have some good colleges to go to out there. I have family down there and they say that the food is out of this world. Do you like the beaches because I do. I agree that it has its pros and cons but in my opinion there are more pros than cons. The restoration of the San Joaquin river may flop harder than the salmon that will die along with it. In Bill McEwen’s article, from the Fresno Bee, “River Plan too Fishy for my Taste Buds”, he explains why the San Joaquin river should not be restored. Bill McEwen used to be a journalist at the Fresno Bee for thirty-five years until he retired and became a local district representative under Jim Costa. The Fresno Bee, where McEwen’s article was published, is located in Fresno, California. Its readers are typical Californians who live in Fresno, a city that was founded 1872 by the Central Pacific Railroad Company.…

In Roxane Gay’s article “Why the Beach Is a Bummer” she explains her outlook on the beach and why it’s a place of discomfort rather than fun. “This is an ideal beach of hot sun, warm sand, crystal-clear water that leaves your skin salted. But it is all too often a mirage”(Gay) the beach isn’t always a place for everyone, and the expectations of the beach often leave people let down or disappointed. As much as I do love the beach and enjoy laying in the sun I agree with Gay’s perspective of the beach to an extent.…

I concur with journalists such as V.O. Key, and as of late Jack D. Fleer, who treat North Carolina more favorably than other states in the south. In his work, Key labeled North Carolina a dynamic plutocracy, lauding the state's dynamic viewpoint and activity in numerous stages of life. Furthermore, Fleer composed that North Carolina's citizens illustrated a dynamic soul as pioneers of the state. Impressive evidence underpins the dynamic view of North Carolina legislative issues. North Carolina is known for its political competitiveness.…

I believe that the diversity of state laws and procedures has many benefits but also many disadvantages. On the one hand, it allows a state to be more flexible, and establish laws that better suit that particular state. On the other hand, however, it becomes a complex issue when every state contains different laws, which generally can confuse people. In the present, we do know that there is no uniformity of all laws nationwide.…
