The first observation I did was at the Esmelda daycare, this daycare is a family daycare there the woman and husband showed me what they did every day they said that the toddler had hours for everything like what time they eat, how much time they had to play. Esmelda daycare promote language through play time she has book that help the toddlers learn the different animal or the ABC the woman would read the book to toddler by pointing to animal or letter and saying what it was she would also promote language by playing with the toys like counting how many Lego blocks there is or by saying the color of the toy right now. Esmelda daycare is not fully completed with all the material the toddlers need they are in process, but still not being a fully completed daycare you can see that the women and the husband take really good care of children when I was there as she was taking to me if the children need something she would stop and put attention to what the children need instead of just keep taking to me and ignored the child. Compare to the second observation did where each children age group has his own in Esmelda daycare see has all the children together he also has the toy room apart where they just go play when is play time and can’t go in until is play time again.…

The classroom setting is for, four-year-old preschool aged children. The idea behind the preschool comes from Piaget’s theory that children learn by a process of adaptation, assimilation, and then accommodation. During the first step, they interpret new stimulation in ways that fit with what they already know. As the new information assimilates, the existing knowledge modifies and creates a better match. Lastly, the child’s understanding gradually changes from the interaction with the environment.…

Early childhood educators across the United States must be prepared to teach an increasingly diverse population of young children. More children from immigrant households are enrolled in early childhood programs than ever before, and can continue into the next decade. As United States becomes more linguistically and culturally diverse and as the issue of bilingual education becomes more politically charged, early childhood educators have a responsibility to understand how best to meet children's needs and how to provide effective early childhood education for all children. National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) position statement, responding to Linguistic and Cultural Diversity some recommendations for Effective Early Childhood Education, offers principles of good early childhood practice which hold true regardless of the language spoken by children or their families. “Among these, the biggest single child-specific demographic change in the United States over the next 20…
