California Compare And Contrast

California and Oregon are both beautiful, scenic, and delightful places. But which is considered to be the “superior” of the two? It can be argued in multiple ways. Both states are voted 50% or higher in a recent poll that asked people where they would move if they had to relocate. Obviously, there are reasons behind these statistics, and I will tell you why. One of the obvious differences is size. California is about 163,707 square miles, while Oregon is only about 98,386 square miles, meaning both states are fairly spacious, especially California, being the 3rd largest state, while Oregon is the 9th largest state. Nevertheless, both are still in the top 10 largest states. Although they do have close size comparisons, the populations differ by a large number. Oregon’s entire population is 3.97 million, while California’s population is a massive amount of 38.8 million people, which is more people than there are in the entire country of Canada. That’s a 34.8 million people difference between the two states. Oregon and California both are quite alike in weather. While Oregon does have a fairly rainy climate, it has an averagely high temperature, similar to California. Actually, these assumptions are fairly true. Oregon, in all, has a smaller population and less large cities, unlike California. Oregon is not as incorporated as California, either. California is full of celebrities and famous iconic people, places, and things, that represent the American entertainment industry. Oregon is a much more quaint state in comparison, but is still a desirable place to be. But, the cost to live in Oregon is dramatically less than California.
