Believe it or not I'm always excited to hop on the train after work. Not because I'm going home after a long day, but I get to see the people. I get to experience the diverse cultures that California has to offer. The spanish/rap music playing, kids laughing, teens giggling talking ridiculous loud on their cellphones, and occasionally you can hear adults arguing here and there through your earphones.
But today, after a devastating lost my Latino counterparts ride home in silence. No smiles. No sense of belonging. You can feel the tension in the air. And you can't help put wonder, what the future would look like for each one of them? What will happen to all the state laws Cali has passed to provide undocumented ppl with healthcare/jobs/schooling
