Calculus Class Analysis

This letter is intended to help me figure out what skills I have learned in this class, and what skills I was lacking and had already obtained coming into this class. This is my first year in college, but I had many of my teachers in high school that prepared me for the rigorous calculus course. I took calculus AB my senior year of high school, so I had all of the skills I needed prior to entering this class. I knew the Limit, Derivative, and Anti-Derivative topics, and in depth. I also spent lots of times in tutorials while I was taking this course in high school. The reason I have to repeat this course is due to the fact that I did not pass the AP exam. I made the score of a 1. I studied lots of calculus over the summer preparing me for …show more content…
I made many mistakes from simplifying equations, and those hurt me in the course from last year. I have increased my test grades by at least 40 points on each of my tests from last year to this year. I have learned that you can not simplify two terms that are being added together with the denominator of a fraction. They must be multiplied. I lacked the skills on how to wrap myself around the concept of the integration by substitution. I did not completely understand the steps in order to find the integral in the end. I am also lacking how to solve logarithmic functions, but I feel once we go over that section in the book, I will fully understand it. I had a teacher that failed her calculus class when she took it in high school, so I ad trust issues with her teaching. I have learned how to use the limit process, which was a major concept that I did not understand last year. I fully understand the concept of limits at infinity which I did not understand last year. I also understand the u/du substitution which I was completely lost on last year when my teacher went over it. I now feel like I can use the tools I have obtained in this class to complete my degree of Architectural Engineering, and I will have to use these skills to draw the skyscrapers and houses I will be

These are the images from Shutterstock I would like. They are being used in a tri-fold brochure so the res don’t need to be extreme as long as I can edit them without degrading the image. I will mostly just be changing the ratio of images to fit my template. If I could have these by 7-Jul that would be great because I need to get them over to Frank at PERS 532P for printing. When I was first accepted into the TexPrep program to begin my first year of instruction, I honestly never expected much to come out of it. I shrugged it off and thought of it as an excuse for parents to get kids out of the house for a few hours in the summer. It wasn’t until the end of the instruction that I perceived how much my time there had actually aided me in my studies. For one thing, what the teachers introduced to me in their courses bewildered me as I most likely would have never learned what was offered, at least at the pace of a regular high school student.…

There are skills that helped me in the pre-calculus math class and others I had to relearn; the class will help in other classes and life in multiple ways. To start off in high school I took a pre-calculus class. The teacher wasn’t the best at covering the material which caused me to barely be able to get a decent grade in the class. One of the concepts that I had problems getting down was the unit circle. I had difficulties understanding almost everything about it and tried to figure it out using the class and question help on my math lab, so I pretty much depended on the picture of all the points, degrees, and radians that were in specific spots on the circle.…
