In conclusion there are many different aspects of the festival that allow it to be successful and continue growing. These aspects are things such as the 100,000 to 150,000 people and tourist who are estimated to have attended Festival Acadiens et Créole (Wartelle). Many of these people who are of Cajun Créole culture are not in fact from the surrounding area; however they took two busses in just to attend the festival. While attending the festival I saw first hand two big busses arrive with tourist who were coming to the festival and after seeing them participate in the festival it was clear they were of Cajun culture. Just like any thing else in the world starting out small and getting bigger Festival Acadiens et Créole did just that. In 1974 the first event that took place to get the celebration of Cajun Créole culture rolling was the Festival de Musique that was a one-day event that took place to honor Cajun or Zydeoc music. Secondly the Bayou Food Festival was moved to allow the celebration or Cajun cuisine and Cajun music to be combined. The last piece of the puzzle that makes all three of these festivals come together to create the big Festival Acadiens complete is the Louisiana craft fair (“Festival Acadiens”). Separately these events celebrate one particular part of Cajun culture but together they strongly celebrate the culture allowing it to be a bigger event. Each of these attributes contributes things that can be celebrated such as food, music, and arts and crafts. These things are key elements that draw people to attend the festival. Many Cajuns are known for liking to eat and that is because the food is so tasty and full of spice therefore many people with attend to enjoy these tasty dishes. The music of Cajun culture is that of Cajun music or Zydeco. Music is a big factor to the growth of
