"Caffeine is the most widely used psychoactive substance in the world"(Davidson and Alic 1). Most people drink caffeine through the day to stay alert or remain awake. Caffeine affects people in many different ways; some people like to drink a lot of caffeine whether it be in coffee, pop or some other drink. Drinking these drinks is not the only way to consume caffeine. Caffeine can be consumed in a powder form in extreme cases. When drinking caffeine, it can cause many different effects on the body whether that be negative or positive, but either way caffeine is a big part of everyday life.

While headaches are the most common side effect, there are plenty more that come along with it. "A caffeine headache usually starts behind the eyes and then moves to the front of the head"(Konstantinovsky 5). "Being Fatigued is one of the symptoms it is the physical and/or mental exhaustion that can be triggered by stress medication, overwork, or mental and physical illness or disease"("Caffeine"5). Other symptoms are anxiety, irritability, depressed mood, drowsiness, brain fog, flu-like symptoms along with muscle aches (Crouch).” Most of these symptoms occur anywhere from 12-24 hours after discontinuing caffeine, peaking during the first two days (Crouch 8-9)”. Most of these symptoms are temporary and relatively easy to deal with, but some of the symptoms are a lot more serious. Like caffeine induced anxiety disorder is severe anxiety due to long-term use of heavy caffeine (Davison and Alic 12).
