This great house is undoubtedly the most famous of all Chaco Canyon great houses, with well over 350 ground rooms, 32 kivas, and thousands of significant artefacts relating to Anasazi culture. The buildings of Pueblo Bonito were occupied over a variety of years, spanning from ca. 850 until the early portion of the 1100s, with some later occupation towards the end of that same century. The term Soldadera is derived from the word, soldada, which was utilized to define the payment that was given to those who looked after the soldiers. During the Mexican Revolutionary war, there were two types of women present in the frontlines, one were Las Adelitas, who a romanticized image of those involved in the revolution. The image was altered to highlight women’s sexuality and hid the assertive traits that sought to destroy gendered stereotypes that were placed upon women by omitting her place in the Revolutionary war by placing emphasize in their appearance. Because the rescue of the 2008 rescue of the Chilean miners in Copiapo was multifaceted, it received attention from around the world; over 2,000 media personnel and 76 satellite antennae attended the final rescue. The event, one of the most-covered in history, served as a drama for world-viewers with danger and an “uplifting” conclusion. The media coverage of the Chilean miners also resulted in two contrasting reactions by two similar countries: Chileans viewed the event with more solidarity while Mexicans viewed the event with cynicism and bitterness. The different reactions can be attributed to the contrary views the citizens hold of their governments in addition to a few other factors.…
