In our nursery we have a complaints and compliments policy for parents/carer of the children so we can know whether are doing our duties, where to improve, to build a positive relationship with the parent/carer and find out their ideas and opinions of what they think about the nursery.

In my nursery setting, the way how we contribute to the safeguarding and protection of individuals by having a duty of care is by ensuring that there are positive relationships between the staff and children within the nursery to encourage obedience and overall good behavior. This then results into a positive effect onto the children’s development stages which are physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
