With great hesitation, I accepted my second co-op work term in Inverness NS (17 hours away from home), to work at Cabot Links. What is Cabot Links you may ask? Had you of asked me back in February, I would have replied with “It’s a golf course.” Now if you were to ask me what Cabot Links is, I would reply with “Much more than just a golf course.” Cabot is a something special. From the true links golf, elegant chalets, maritime inspired food, and truly authentic east coast experience. Cabot is not something that can be described, it must be experienced.
At Cabot I worked alongside the Director of Human Resources as the HR Intern. As someone who dreams of becoming an HR Director, I was thrilled that I was given the opportunity to get a taste

Majestic. Captivating. Inspiring… This is Cabot Links.” I heard this twice every Monday for 6 consecutive weeks. Back in February, upon making my decision on coming to Cabot, I stumbled upon a teaser video for Cabot Links. After watching this video I knew I had to work there. The video sent chills up my spine, the beauty and elegance of the course was magical. After six weeks, you’d think hearing this line over and over would lose its effect. However, each time it made you fall in love with the course all over again. Every month the JOHSC would meet to discuss various health and safety concerns around the property and any workplace injuries that occurred in the corresponding month. Whenever an employee was hurt at work I got to help the HR Director fill out a WCB form and submit it to WCB. I would help prepare meeting notes, agenda, and took the minutes at each meeting. Each month we assigned each department with a Health and Safety Audit that they had to complete by the next
