CYO Athletes Role Model

The dictionary defines “athlete” as a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina. I define it as someone who is striving to do God’s will. Being an Athlete is not only about winning or being the best. It is about having fun and thanking God for all that he has done. Throughout my years at Saint Joan of Arc I have participated in soccer, football, and basketball. In each of these sports we prayed as a team asking God for his strength to be the best who we are. Most people think that to be an Athlete you have to have physical ability, or you have to be able to run fast. If, however; you would to take a closer look you can see that CYO athletes are role models who are teaching
