Physical characteristics
The corporate headquarter for CVS is located Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The groundbreaking for this support center commenced in 1981. The building looks simple, not extravagant, and has a visible CVS logo inscribed on the building; a logo that is now synonymous with affordable, accessible, quality products and services. The workspace has numerous cubicles to respect employees’ privacy, and to enhance employees’ creativity. Moreover, the environment looks relaxed and conducive for excellent workflow. The CVS stores which are the extension of the vision of the corporate headquarters are usually built as a one level building with a similar layout in most of the communities. The CVS annual 2014 report is well detailed and consistent with yearly financial accounting reporting format. The corporation’s financial report shows the financial status of the company, the current and future innovations, projects, and goals to name a few. It is commendable that the company recognizes employees for their dedication to their customers and thanks the communities they do business in through social media and by implementing various community programs that enhance communities across the nation (CVS-Annual report, 2015; CVS Health,” 2015). Truly, CVS seems to be transparent with all pertinent information about the organization's activities and its financial status within the business arena and this is an attractive quality to potential investors.
Behavior
Remarkably, the Vision of the CVS Corporation is “helping people on their path to better health (“CVS Health”, 2015). The corporation’s vision is attainable because, the management at CVS recognizes the power of culture and effective communication in creating a viable and profitable organization through adherence to corporate vision, goals, and missions; and as history has depicted the culture of an organization in its entirety is dependent on the leadership of such organization. Just as unfavorable or unproductive culture permeates from the top management to ground level

Organizational culture plays a key role in the effectiveness of any company. Netflix has worked hard to establish a very strong organizational culture, or collective values that are the core makeup of the company (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013). My organization has a strong but very different culture, but cannot compare in scale to that of Netflix. My organization is a public power company, which naturally leads us to a very different business model than Netflix, resulting in very different cultures. While our cultures are very different, Netflix’s focus on transparency and accountability can be adapted to my organization (Netflix).…
