In the last five years, I have worked as a CNA, an LVN at a nursing home and clinic, and an RN in the CVICU. All of these experiences have greatly contributed to my solid nursing foundation. As a CNA, I enjoyed the direct interaction and knowing my patients on a personal level. As an LVN, I handled up to 35 patients while supervising the CNAs. I also performed wound care for up to 100 patients when I worked as a Wound Care Nurse. As a float nurse at the clinic, I felt most connected to the Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) because they come from a nursing background and understand what it’s like to provide direct bedside care.
