In my classroom, we focus on positive mindsets and our mantra is, “A negative thinker sees a difficulty in every opportunity, and a positive thinker sees an opportunity in every difficulty” (Zig Zigler). With this in mind, I have taken this opportunity to show my students and my own children the power of continuing education and hard work. The programming at CSU-Global has provided me with an excellent platform for future leadership. When I work with my mentor and other administrators, I realize how encompassing the programming has been. I have learned a lot about my individual …show more content…
The professors have been helpful, informative, and readily available. They made the coursework relevant and applicable. Almost all of the assignments were immediately intertwined into my work and internship responsibilities. The timing and relationship between the lessons at CSU-Global and the school events for which I was responsible was incredible. I especially appreciated learning that one of my professors, Dr. Schreiner, used her degree to advance in the field of special education. She was able to critique my resume and cover letter from this perspective, which was extremely helpful. My mentor worked closely with me, and she challenged me to work harder in the areas that were the most difficult (public speaking and budget). With her help, I presented professional development to the entire staff, worked with individual teachers in need of assistance, and helped build the school budget. I attended board meetings and became an active member of our Student Advisory Committee. All of this combined, was an outstanding

Through 25 different scholarships, I was able to attend OSU without any loans and truly believed I was on the right track to achieving the "American Dream". The beginning of my undergraduate career is not impressive and not worthy of holding the title of a PA. A student’s GPA is important in order to be accepted into a medical school or any other healthcare professional school, I was well aware of that, but I did not hold the maturity to excel in my academia. However, I’m grateful to realize my mistake halfway through my semester and searched for help to turn the downhill route my grades were taking. In attempts to remedy my subpar GPA, I added a second major to help with my overall GPA; however, I did not choose a major that would be considered easy, but I chose Psychology, a major that is challenging. It soon became evident of my success in throughout the rest of my undergraduate years.…

I liked this because it forced me to push myself and put me around others that also dedicated their time to academics.…

While at a Community College, I have had time to grow and mature into a finer young adult than I came out of High School. I learned to live on my own and take care of myself, while continuing to acquire training and education. It was also a time I took to figure who I am and who I want to be. With that in mind, I have found that I desire to continue growing at a different institution. While I have learned a significant amount of things in my current college and enjoyed every minute of it, I will be graduating from its program soon and wish to explore opportunities elsewhere.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…
