We went over my assessment and discussed the different scores. We completed a potential schedule for the next two years. I had been concerned that I have yet to choose an exact career but he assured me I am taking the correct steps. We discussed career paths both in my chosen field and other fields. We observed that some fields are dying and others seemed to be growing exponentially. He also explained to me how enrollment works for the upcoming semester and we reviewed my plan to retake the math compass test in January. After speaking with him I feel better about my chosen career path and feel more prepared as a

Two of my strength’s that were identified on the CSI report were family emotional support and sociability. Both of those come to me as no surprise. The support that my family provides me is astronomical. They gave everything they had to send me to a private Jesuit high school, and now my brother and soon my sister. The love they have expressed in that action alone doesn’t even scratch the surface of what they have done for us.…

Although being a bit hesitant to go with my schedule and the time of the lecture not in agreement, I was able to go and was more than pleased with the lecture. Not only did Wade Chittam physically leave his mark on the University of South Carolina at Lancaster he also left an emotional one. With the genuine claps given and all the recaps several professors and Chittam retold there wasn’t a better ambient in such return to the university he so strongly aided. With a general summary of his life taking half of the lecture and the other half reminiscing the past with stories Chittam was more than happy to be back. Dating back to 1968 when Chittman first arrived to USCL as an inexperienced but determined teacher only to prove peers wrong after getting rid of the handful of lecture flashcards before his first class.…

For example, I want to major in biology. Even though I major in biology, writing would be important to become more successful in my future career. One good way would be giving students an assignment where they require them to write papers on subjects of their choice that have something to do with biology.…

There are many misconceptions one could address such as: the 5 paragraph essay being an awful way to write, even though our teachers in high skill asked us to write in that form, or the fact that diction is not the most important thing to write a solid paper, even though as we age we just accept that that is the…

When I was young I was never the best at reading even though my parents owned many books and magazines that they read on a daily basis. My mother enjoyed reading her gossip magazines that she would receive in the mail once a month and my father had a whole bookshelf full of history books. My parents would always encourage me to read the books I would check out at the school library to improve my reading and writing but that advice usually went in through one ear and out the other. The only books I would really attempt to read had to be humorous or horrifying, my favorites were the Goosebumps collection. I loved reading these books alone in my room where I couldn’t be sidetracked by all the commotion that went on in my house.…
