CPT Jerad M Linder: Chain Of Command

Decent Essays
On 8 June 2015 I was returning from lunch and stuck in heavy traffic. I looked at my radio and realized that I wasn’t going to be on time so I called CPT Jerad M Linder, knowing he would be in the office earlier than everyone else, to inform him that I would be late for work and why. He was understanding and said “alright just get here as quick as possible.” Staff Sergeant Marioangel Alvarado was not pleased because I didn’t call him and informed him and he didn’t like my reason for calling CPT Jerad M. Linder and now I have to write this paper on what a chain of command is and what our chain of command is from me to our Sergeant Major here at Fort Polk and why we use it.

What exactly is a chain of command? Well according to bussinessdictionary.com

This book report will compare and contrast the leadership styles and characteristics of SFC Rob Gallagher and SFC Jeff Fenlason from authors Jim Fredericks’ “Black Hearts: One Platoon’s Descent into Madness in Iraq’s Triangle of Death”, explaining how their similar but different styles of leadership helped and or hindered their units’ mission failures and success.…
