Hello,
I was wanting to possibly order Parent Café t-shirts, I know it can be pretty pricy and I wanted to see If I could possibly do a fundraiser. I have a friend that sells LuLlaRoe and has been asking me to do a party with her. If I could get her to donate some of her proceeds to Parent Cafés, would it be possible for me to get her to come do an event at work? If I could do this what all would I need to do on the CPO end?

My elementary school,Creek View Elementary, hosts a fundraiser called “ The Basket Raffle”. Surprisingly, I remember how lively and successful the events were every year. Each class was assigned a theme that would help guide families with knowing exactly what items to donate in order to create the classes’ basket. The PTA would assemble all the items from each class in gigantic gift baskets for the highly anticipated raffle. Parents and students that desired to win the baskets had to buy tickets to put in the smaller baskets designated for choosing the winners.…

In year five my goal is to begin the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) program with the NFA and the Executive Fire Officer certification through Center for Professional Service Excellence (CPSE). As part of my leadership course at Grand Canyon University I was assigned to volunteer/internship in an experience that would enrich my future career. I was very fortunate to work out an agreement with the Director of Security and Safety at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona and the home of the NHL Arizona Coyotes. My current career has me working at the University of Phoenix Stadium over seeing responsibilities in security and guest services. By volunteering to work at an NHL arena, I felt it would give me insight on how other professional sporting facilities operate with the belief I would gain some experience and takeaways that would become better at my current job and possibly expose me to a bigger world within the sports/entertainment industry. During my time working at the arena I kept journal entries of each of the games that I worked at and used those documents to help reflect on what knowledge I have gained and how my Grand Canyon University experience enhanced my volunteer involvement.…

But what does the real world look like? This question is so ambiguous that it has become a canned question that stumps some interviewers. Based on my three internship experiences (though diverse across location and industry), a more realistic answer of what a software engineer does instead of just reading a spec and working with teammates from a solid 9-5 (or 10-6) is this. The engineer gets in the office, opens Outlook, and proceeds to get inundated by emails sent while he was eating dinner or waking up. These are typically emails such as “the team has reviewed your code and it’s been approved for a merge with the main version of the program” or “the recent merge involving your code has caused the entire service to collapse, we’ve rolled back…
