On March 2, 2018 at approximately 1929 hours, I observed a silver Mercury utility vehicle bearing Florida tag JITE29 traveling south on Port Richey Village LP approaching the intersection of Richey DR in Port Richey, FL. The vehicle passed a posted right turn only sign, but made a left turn onto Richey DR in violation of the posted traffic control device. I conducted a lawful traffic stop on the Mercury and made contact with the driver.…

In Harlan Coben’s article “The Undercover Parent” (2008), he argues that parents should use spyware to protect their children. He says that there is a line on how it should be used, but not using it would be negligence. Coben believes monitoring a child through spyware is a good way to protect them from harm. After reading Coben’s article, I have found that I disagree with his opinion. In the article, as coben writes while referring to a child, he states clearly “Shouldn’t he learn now that the Internet is not a haven of privacy?”…

United States v. Viktor Kozeny 1. Issue: The FCPA does not allow the giving of anything of value as a reward for an act or choice of a foreign official in his official capacity, any case of persuading such an official to commit or dismiss an act of infringement on the constitutional obligation of such an official, or acquiring a wrongful advantage to acquire or maintain business with or for any individual. The law does however afford an affirmative defense for disbursements that are “lawful under the written laws and regulations” of the United States. 2.…

The Good Censorship Can Bring People can read and watch what they want, but somethings need to be restricted. For example, imagine a child listening to cursing in a song or movie and then, not knowing any better, goes to school saying the actual word. In Ray Bradbury’s book, Fahrenheit 451, he writes about a society where everything is censored. In order to restore protection in a society, people need censorship. Censorship protects children, ensures the privacy of people, and reduces misunderstanding.…

Coben’s claim in the article, “Undercover Parent” is that parents should monitor what their child is doing on the computer. I also agree with Coben because I believe that parents should put spyware on their child’s use of the internet. I agree because spyware can be used to keep your child safe and away from the dangers that are in the internet. Spyware can be put into your child’s internet by downloading the software from a vendor and then you will receive the reports on what they do. Spyware should be put into child’s internet use because you never know what your child could be doing.…

The Pros And Cons Of DCPP

Brianna, Sadly, it is true that there is a negative connotation attached to DCPP. Way too many people believe that the goal of DCPP is to snatch children away from families. While it was still named DYFS people would say that just calling DYFS on parents would get a child removed from their home. I admire your decision to pursue a career with the DCPP, especially since people ignore the positive impact that the DCPP has. People definitely need to get educated on DCPP, and I hope you can continue to open the eyes of people who do not know the true goals of the DCPP!…

However, kids must start learning that the “Internet is not a haven of privacy” (Coben 1). So, everything on posted can already be seen are all and maybe even seen by future employers, teachers, or dates. As a result, kids have to be extremely careful about what they post and parents should always be updated and aware of what their child is doing on the Internet. Another argument might be that it is illegal to listen to another person’s conversation, which is true, but only applies to people older than eighteen. Furthermore, it is important to remember that this isn’t the government listens, but that child’s own loving and caring parents, “Loving parents are doing the surveillance here, not faceless bureaucrats” (Coben 1).…

Once the US Supreme court ratified the constitutionality of the PPACA in June 2012 the implementation of this act faced many challenges. Identifying the challenges can help the government in moving forward to identifying strategies and areas of improvement in moving forward in universal healthcare. Some of the areas which impeded the implementation is the exchanges used to access healthcare and failure to adequately address the cost for coverage and penalties associated with the policy. In reviewing the process associated with the healthcare exchanges there were issues with obtaining insurance coverage and it’s being deemed compliant with the exchange guidelines.…
