The program covered and paid for all the materials needed in order to complete the program. It includes a free laptop/tablet,school supplies, and a backpack. During the program I was enrolled in multiple classes which focuses on upgrading my academic and social skills. These classes are college success, a writing structure class, history 152(includes 3 credits after the completion of the course), and life skills. In college success class we learned to register for classes, accepting loans/financial aid and searching for scholarships.COP taught me to register for certain classes, general skills needed for college, what to expect during college, and a lot more. I learned a lot in this program and without their knowledge I would honestly be lost in college. Even though I was accepted into UH Manoa by regular admission my high school instructors encouraged me to participate in this program because of the benefits given. In order to complete the program you will need to fulfill the only requirements and that is to pass the program with a 1,000 points or over based on a 1,425 point scale. Earning your points are based on the various grades you get on your classes, homeworks, attending activities and meetings. At the end of the program I ended up with 1,230 points which is like a B average. Most of my points were lost in my college writing class because I was always too lazy to revise my final

I believe that through the coursework and internship experiences I have become a much more mindful educator, and I have greatly increased my knowledge and experiences regarding public education.…
