College is the ideal time to engage with others and be part of things greater than oneself. In my experiences of being involved in school activities and community service projects, I have realized how much I enjoy being part of special events and interacting with people. From helping set up for food banks to promoting moral causes for health organizations, these experiences have encouraged me to make an impact in people’s lives.
As far as why I want to be part of the Ambassador Program, it is the precise reason of making a difference and actively engaging with others that attracts me to the program. Furthermore, I could certainly make use of my imaginative thoughts and creativity through the program. As an active member of Key Club, there were multiple ways I promoted the organization in the beginning of the school year to recruit students. Namely, what I encouraged the club to do was form a get-together and provide food, music, and host games – anything to create an enjoyable ambience that would then attract students and retain their loyalty.
Essentially, my personal experiences and skills of being involved in high school activities, volunteering at organizations, and working in the hospitality industry could clearly be applied as an ambassador. Nevertheless, it would be an absolute honor to be part of the Ambassador Program given how these extraordinary students are greatly involved in college, and there truly is more to being an ambassador.
