The first standard related to CLAS that I covered is currently addressed within my workplace. Cultural beliefs and standards are a priority within the current network I work at. In fact, cultural understanding and implementation is a top priority given that the current state of societal growth is focused on minority demographics. For instance, a patient who may not approve of a male caregiver for themselves or a loved one and prefers a female nurse. This is addressed from the time of admission to the time of discharge and all facets in between.
